When you live in the Utah Prairie House, you will be immersed in and become part of a community of women all attending the University of Utah and all going through similar experiences. You will share kitchens, study rooms, a game room, and a beautiful living room. All of this promotes interaction, community, and the building of relationships that can last a lifetime. You will be two minutes from campus, Greek row and the sorority houses, and the favorite off-campus restaurants and hang-out places. This offers easy opportunities to experience and enjoy the university student community.

2026-27 Room Rates & Lease Information
Currently leasing shared room spaces for 2026-27. Shared room spaces available now are $1,100 per month, per person. A reserved parking space on the lot is $75.00 per month.
Tenants pay:
(1) the rent, (2) the cost of a renters insurance policy (around $150), paid directly to the insurance agent, (3) $20 for a background check, paid directly
Currently leasing shared room spaces for 2026-27. Shared room spaces available now are $1,100 per month, per person. A reserved parking space on the lot is $75.00 per month.
Tenants pay:
(1) the rent, (2) the cost of a renters insurance policy (around $150), paid directly to the insurance agent, (3) $20 for a background check, paid directly to the background check company, (4) parking fees if the tenant selects parking, and (5) a security deposit that is fully refundable.

Similar to University housing, each semester's rent is collected in up-front deposits prior to the start of the semester. Neither the landlord nor the tenants are hassled by monthly rent payments.

The Rent includes (all inclusive) all utilities (natural gas, electricity, water, sewer, garbage); seven different movie streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Peacock, Max, Hulu, and Disney+; Google Wi-Fi and 5 Gb Google fiber internet; a fully furnished room; a fully furnished house (television, pool table, couch, decorations, kitchen table and chairs, etc.); a fully provisioned house (from paper towels to toilet paper to hand soap); professional weekly cleaning of the entire house including bathrooms and bedrooms (including monthly deep cleaning of refrigerators and stoves); provision and laundering of bathroom and kitchen towels; yard maintenance and care; professional quarterly exterior window washing; and the provision and maintenance of all appliances including washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, and more.
Bedrooms are furnished with queen or full beds (yes that's not a twin bed!), desks, night stands, chest of drawers, and desk chairs.
The kitchens are fully stocked with all the pans, pots, utensils, dishes, and everything else you need to cook a gourmet meal or microwave a frozen burrito - your choice!

Second, you can walk to Campus in 2 minutes and 17 seconds (yes, we timed it). In less than three minutes of walking you can get to every sorority house. In the same amount of time you can be to the Pie Pizzeria enjoying a slice while sitting in a seat your mother may have sat in while attending the University. Third, the house gets cleaned every week, including your room. It's included in the lease. Fourth, you will be living in a beautiful prairie style home built 100+ years ago. It oozes charm. Fifth, you will be living in a home with motion activated floodlights, exterior electronic keyless finger print locks that are self locking, bedroom fingerprint activated self-locking doors, and multiple exterior cameras recording everyone approaching and entering the house.
